Livingston Parish Children's Choirs

KAREN McGIBBONEY: Accompanist for the Chorus, received her Bachelor of Music Education degree in piano from Southeastern University.  She is the choral director and fine arts teacher at Denham Springs Junior high school. Mrs. Mcgibboney’s DSJH choirs consistently receive sweepstakes trophies at District IV Choral Festivals. Karen Mcgibboney has taught piano in Denham Springs for over twenty-five years. she is a member of the Baton rouge Music Teachers Association, where she has served as Chairman for the Louisiana Federation of Music Clubs’ annual piano competition held in Denham Springs, for over ten years. She often serves as adjudicator for piano competitions and festivals across Louisiana and is a member of NAfME.
